Diversity

Congregation Beth El was historically affiliated with the Conservative Movement of Judaism until 1972. We are currently unaffiliated, better enabling us to serve the wide range of Jewish needs in our area. We consider ourselves an egalitarian, liberal congregation that is comfortably home to people from all the mainstream movements.

 

Our members are families with children, “empty-nesters,” same-sex partners, single adults, and active retirees. We welcome intermarried families who make up a significant portion of our membership. Non-Jewish family members participate in all aspects of our social life here as well as appropriate involvement in ritual and governance.
